Many people believe that there are angels living among us who are here to help and guide us.There are numerous stories of some mysterious stranger who brings help in a time of need and then is never seen again. Are these merely coincidences, or could it be that angels really do walk among us ready to come to our aid? One of the most quoted verses of scripture to support the idea of angels living among us is found in Hebrews 13:2. "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." Are There Angels Among Us?

Thank you for posting that Bible reference. I am a firm believer in the Bible, but I think that it is very much misunderstood and misinterpreted. I believe there is a lot of evidence in the Bible that supports ideas like reincarnation, ghosts and UFOs/aliens

I'd love to hear about the references you find in the Bible regarding these experiences. Do share them with us.

While the Bible may not come right out and say that reincarnation is true there can be no doubt whatsoever that the people of those days (Peter, Luke, Matthew, John, Mark, etc) did believe in the concept.
Personally I do not believe in reincarnation as a fact. I just think that it is a very interesting concept and a possibility.
As for ghosts check out 1 Samuel 28:7-20 which tells a story about Saul going to the witch of Endor so that he could visit and communicate with the ghost of Samuel.
Aliens and UFOs - there is a tremendous amount of references that sound like UFOs in the bible. Look up Ezekials wheels, and what about the Israelites travelling through the wilderness following a cloud of smoke by day and a pillar of fire by night and being "rained" down upon by manna? What flies through the skies and looks like that? Those are just two of the many instances of something that reminds you of a UFO.

I Have Recently Found That Out, But Thanx For The Heads Up Anyway! When You Get Permission, Do You Do It In Written Form? You can try to contact the copyright owner, usually the webmaster of the site, and ask for permission to use the content. I should say that most people will not give permission. They put the content on their sites to attract visitors and to get search engine rankings. When others republish their content it actually does harm to the original site. That's why it is usually best just to write up a short summary in your own words and then add a link to the full article.

I agree about the interpretation of things in the bible. When I was a kid, I use to argue with my Sunday school teachers, about reincarnation, and things like a chariot coming to get (whoever, I forget), has all the suggestion of UFOs. I also like the idea that the Holy Ghost is feminine. It always made perfect sense to me. And who was it that was suppose to be 8 or 9 hundred years old? There is all kinds of cool stuff, if you keep an open mind, and think for your self.

I am in agreement completely with the inner quote (adding to the list - angels, and mostly with the outer quote except I do not think most of the Biblical evidence that supports reincarnation has been destroyed. Please note that my perspective is of that one of a professed 'saved' Christian who bases her life faith on her belief of the divinity of the Bible. Bible (KJV) quotes containing the word ANGEL (some Biblically reported angels are considered to have been aliens): quod.lib.umich.edu/cgi/k/kjv/kjv-idx?type=simple&format=Long&q1=angel&restrict=All&size=First+100Bible (KJV) quotes containing the word ANGELS (some Biblically reported angels are considered to have been aliens): quod.lib.umich.edu/cgi/k/kjv/kjv-idx?type=simple&format=Long&q1=angels&restrict=All&size=First+100Site that is convinced some angels were aliens and their Biblical views: www.barry.warmkessel.com/barry/NOAH.htmlwww.doomsdayguide.org/UFO/ufo_aliens_in_the_bible.htmBible (KJV) quotes containing the words BORN AGAIN, which I tend to view as reincarnation: John 3-3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3-7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 1Pet.1-23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. Bible (KJV) quotes containing the word GHOST (referring to Holy Ghost and 'giving up the ghost'-dying): quod.lib.umich.edu/cgi/k/kjv/kjv-idx?type=simple&format=Long&q1=ghost&restrict=All&size=First+100Bible (KJV) quotes containing the word SPIRIT (not all referring to the Holy Spirit, I am not sure that all the times one 'spake with a familiar spirit meant a live or dead person, but here is one that seems quite clear to me, the link is to a list of 100 or so other verses): Job.4-15 Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up: quod.lib.umich.edu/cgi/k/kjv/kjv-idx?type=simple&format=Long&q1=spirit&restrict=All&size=First+100Bible (KJV) quotes containing the word SPIRITS (the way it is used it makes me think ghosts or demons): Deut.18-11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. quod.lib.umich.edu/cgi/k/kjv/kjv-idx?type=simple&format=Long&q1=spirits&restrict=All&size=First+100Bible (KJV) quotes containing the words UNCLEAN SPIRITS (a type of ghost or demonic spirit?): quod.lib.umich.edu/cgi/k/kjv/kjv-idx?type=simple&format=Long&q1=unclean+spirits&restrict=All&size=First+100Please take a moment to look up verses and see for yourself what you think. I hope this helps. -Sonya (belle606)

I am no author, so please bear with me. I want to be true to the thread theme and discuss what I believe to be experiences with angels. I do know that I have dealt with unseen power/protection and even been granted information due to these unseen forces, but I will call them Angels.
About 8 years ago, here in the same tiny town I still live in (just a different address) I had more than 1 experience like this. I am able to write about my different experiences until one tires of reading, but I will try to stay on topic and succinct.
I have had psychic/paranormal experiences all my life. More noticeably and more often when I was a child without all the schedules and responsibilities of adult life. But much still lingers even if more different than in my youth. (I think I may start a new thread on some of those happenings.)
Anyway, our new family decided to move out of the metropolitan area (pop. 4800-5000), to the small town (pop. 1200-1500) less than 20 miles away to raise our kids. Our first residence was a newer model unassuming mobile home on a tiny lot (.4 acre) with an old outbuilding - rumored to have been an original structure on the land, the first home had been lost to fire. I am not aware of the history to know if anyone perished per the fire.
One of the first odd things we noticed was that when we took a crew and went to demolish the old outbuilding in order to replace it with new, our strong men and sledgehammers could not knock a dent in the wood. We couldn't pry a board loose or even pull a nail. We decided age and weather hardened the wood and we would just reroof with metal roofing. We could paint and it would look nicer.
Weeks passed and one night after supper my oldest (under 5 at the time) son was sent to bed, tucked in and comfy for the night. He was an obedient child and healthy, clean and with a full belly and comfy bed to sleep in. A few minutes later he was back in the room with the adults and was saying he couldn't sleep, that the children were keeping him awake. It was dark out, no neighbor children and we had no company that evening. We explained to him that there were no children visiting and he need to go back to bed. So he did and within a few minutes was back, saying the children playing and laughing were keeping him awake. My husband stood up to scold the boy for not minding when I stopped him and told him, 'LOOK! the boy is ALWAYS obedient. If he SAYS the children are keeping him awake then we need to investigate more thoroughly. He obliged and went to show the boy that there were no monsters under his bed, or children near, etc. But when he stepped in the room, he smelled electrical burning, looking at the electrical fuse box located in the child's room, he saw smoke coming from inside the door. He opened it, found a loose fuse causing a spark, tightened it up and all was well. I made the baby sleep with me that night - the electrician couldn't show til morning. I think the angels spoke to my child and gave us warning that saved us.
Less important, but still notable are the times like when two or more of us witnessed a VCR tape that was on a shelf across the room, stand up on its end from a layed down position, then fall ver to the other side than it had been laying on. The TV would come on and off without us turning it on or off, it would change channels when it got a notion to as well. And there was a battery operated baby chair I bought at a yard sale for new baby. I tried to turn it on but it didn't work. We were sitting there one day and the baby chair that was on the counter turned on. We went to investigate and saw the off/on button set on OFF. We figured there could be a glitch and checked the old batteries. The battery compartment was empty.
We were in a tornado prone area, and 'twas the season. So, on my way home from work (I was a real estate agent at the time), I had to swerve around fallen limbs and debris in the road as a tornado had just passed thru. I was almost following it - in a desperate hurry to get home and check the safety of my family. I came over a small blind bluff in the old unmarked road and at the bottom a pickup truck had just pulled out of a field and stalled perpendicular to my careening direction. I knew we would hit so I braced and pushed as hard as I could on the brake and shut my eyes. After the slide/screech stopped, I opened my eyes, and lo and behold there we were on the road side by side facing the same direction. The other driver asked 'why didn't you hit us?' as amazed as I was that the accident didn't happen. How could it NOT have?? I attribute it to angels. There was no time or space available for that truck to have been able to maneuver into the position of travel right alongside mine.
So....I get home. The sitters are unwrapping the children from their thick sleeping bags. They had been preparing to make a run for the ravine next door - but the storm had now passed. Then they started in with what all had happened. Apparently they saw the tornado, that it had taken completely down the 3 story barn that was within a stone's throw to our back door, as well as having uprooted on the opposite side of the property an old oak tree that was so big 3 men couldn't reach around it fingertip to fingertip. Not a single piece of our plastic lawn furniture had moved from there places in our yard.
Somebody decided that our little mobile home would be a good place to rob and attempted to break in. We found the evidence of the broken window. Along with a blood trail leading from that window all the way back to the driveway. Upon closer examination, it looked like someone took a small rock and made a small round jagged hole big enough to stick an arm in to reach and unlock the door from inside beside the window. Yet the door was locked and there was a blood trail. Ironically, we had left the TV off and it was now on. We surmise that the TV popped on in the middle of this activity and scared the thief and they injured themselves. I still call it angels but have no real understanding of my experiences. -Sonya (belle606)
