About 11 years ago, my girlfriend (now wife) and I were living with my brother in South Minneapolis. We had just watched The Amityville Horror. Afterwards, we went to bed. We closed the door, turned off the light and layed down.
I was trying to be a funny guy and imitating the ghost from the movie, saying "Get out!" in a deep voice. My wife laughed a bit, but told me not to make fun of ghosts. We had both felt the presence of spirits in the house in the past, and even used the ouija bord on occasion. However, I persisted. After about a minute, the light in the room suddenly came on. We were laying down, and the door was latched shut. It never happened before that night, and it never happened after. Needless to say I do not make fun of spirits anymore...
